    • Researched and wrote white papers, reports, articles and technical briefs on a wide variety of indoor air quality (IAQ) topics including mold and mold prevention; risk assessment; asthma and damp buildings; volatile organic compounds in indoor environments; economics of green building; air cleaners and filtration; chemistry of cleaning; flame retardants; IAQ, energy and green building; chemical and particulate emissions from electronic office equipment; IAQ and sensitive population groups; impact of poor IAQ on children’s health; and formaldehyde in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) temporary housing.
    • Wrote an executive summary of a comprehensive research project on the energy, temperature and moisture control performance of exterior claddings, including EIFS, brick, stucco and cementitious siding for the EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA). Project co-sponsored by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, US Department of Energy and EIMA.
    • Researched and wrote Mold: Cause, Effect and Response, a landmark publication on mold growth and moisture damage in buildings. More than 50,000 copies of this free publication are in circulation.
    • Revised this publication for the Wallcoverings Association. Created brochures and a PowerPoint™ presentation with script to present key points to wallcoverings industry audiences (commercial and residential distributors and users). Publication, brochures and presentation successfully used to dispel misinformation about indoor mold growth and wallcoverings and created confidence in wallcoverings as a safe decorating choice.
    • Researched and wrote a report on the future trends of the wall and ceiling industry, including writing a survey of wall and ceiling contractors, compiling survey results and interviewing construction industry experts.
    • Led a team that conducted an extensive literature review and analysis of more than 100 scientific papers regarding how indoor air quality impacts productivity in the US hospitality industry, culminating in a comprehensive 50-page report.
    • Copy edited, proofed and indexed the Primer on the Rheumatic Diseases, tenth edition. Achieved consensus with editors and 100 international contributing authors on editorial changes to their chapters in the Primer on the Rheumatic Diseases, ninth edition.
    • Developed editorial styles and guidelines to assure consistency and readability for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, the Arthritis Foundation and the Industrial Engineering and Management Press, Institute of Industrial Engineers publications.
    • Edited employee handbook for ASHRAE, Chelsea Group, Ltd., J.E. Hanger, Inc. and Southern Prosthetic Supply Co.
    • Wrote and managed production of annual reports for ASHRAE.
