amazing photographs accented by a lot of color, taken by 26
professional and amateur photographers from around the US, plus a few
pictures from Europe. There is just enough text to explain what
you are seeing, but mostly what you will see are pictures, pictures,
pictures!
Our goal is to introduce Schutzhund
to those who are unfamiliar with the sport, by showing the action, rewards,
beauty and fun associated with training and competing in Schutzhund. We also hope this book
will remind
dedicated owners, handlers, trainers, helpers and judges why they love,
invest in and support this sport.
What is Schutzhund? Schutzhund is a German
word meaning "protection dog." Today, Schutzhund
involves three phases: tracking, obedience and protection
work. It also is used as a breeding standard to produce healthy,
strong and talented working dogs worldwide. Schutzhund has nothing
to do with dog fighting and differs greatly from training used to
prepare personal or property protection dogs and police or drug
detection dogs.
As this is a labor of love, all net proceeds from
sales of the book after out of pocket expenses will be donated for the
benefit of the sport. Click
